Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper. 2. Combine flour, vegan butter, coconut sugar, flaxseed mixture, baking powder, and salt in a food processor; pulse until crumbled and easily formed into dough when pinched. Pour 3/4 of the dough into the prepared pan; press down until the crust is even and well-packed. 3. In a skillet, combine diced apples, coconut sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat until apples are softened and the mixture has thickened, about 5 minutes. 4. Pour the apple mixture onto the crust; smooth with a spatula until even. Crumble the remaining dough on top. 5. Bake in the preheated oven until the top is golden brown, 30 to 40 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes; cut into bars. 6. For the drizzle, whisk together maple syrup, almond butter, and sea salt. Drizzle over the cooled bars before serving.
